How We Started

Lagoon-ridge began in 2018 when a group of renewable energy engineers recognized a fundamental disconnect in the Australian energy market. Households were paying premium prices for grid electricity while sitting beneath one of the world's most intense solar resources.

The technology existed. The economics made sense. Yet adoption remained limited by complexity, conflicting information, and installation quality concerns.

We set out to solve that problem by creating a service that handled every aspect of residential solar adoption, from initial assessment through decades of ongoing performance optimization. No jargon. No overselling. Just honest engineering applied to each unique property.

Since then, we've designed and installed over 2,800 residential solar systems across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, and Western Australia. Each one customized to the specific roof geometry, consumption patterns, and energy goals of the household.
